This restaurant with rooms now encompasses the renowned Jerichos Restaurant, highly rated in independent food guides, and a true culinary gem.

The contemporary dining room wonderfully complements the beautiful Victorian property which is full of original features, including an original tiled foyer and a large pitch pine staircase.

The establishment is close to the centre of the village and has a large, private car park.

It is advisable to make a reservation in the restaurant to avoid disappointment. We are open to non-residents. For a special surprise why not order champagne or a chilled bottle of wine in your room, ready for your arrival. Flowers can also be arranged.

Room information

All bedrooms are en suite and non smoking, with tea and coffee making facilities, colour TVs and hairdryers. Crisp white bed linen and towels are in all rooms, together with good quality duvets and pillows. We have king-size beds, doubles and singles, and upon request, twin beds. Our rooms are spacious with some on the top floor having a marvellous view of the fells. Many rooms have original Victorian features including pitch pine doors and sash windows. Drying and ironing facilities are available. There is free internet access available downstairs.

Food & beverage

Chef-proprietor Chris Blaydes, master chef of GB, has brought Jerichos Restaurant into The Waverley. Jerichos has currently been awarded 2 AA Rosettes in the AA Restaurant Guide, and is highly rated in the current Good Food Guide, Hardens and Michelin guides. We have an extensive wine list and are passionate about what we do, which is to give you a memorable dining experience.

You couldn't select a better location from which to enjoy the whole of the Lake District, be it by car, train, bus or on foot.

We are a convenient 5-minute walk from the nearest bus stops and train station, and a 15-minute stroll from Lake Windermere.

The Waverley has an exceptional location for exploring the whole of the Lake District, whether by car, train, bus or on foot. We are 5 minutes from 2 bus stations and the rail station.

Important information

All bedrooms at The Waverley are on the 1st and 2nd floors. Sorry, but we have no lift only stairs.
